Assistant Accountant

4J Studios Ltd, best known in recent years for developing the global phenomenon Minecraft for Microsoft,
Sony and Nintendo consoles – the team is now immersed in the creation of brand new games for everyone to enjoy. We are looking for an Assistant Accountant, with a solid, proven experience working in a fast-paced Finance Team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities

The role will be varied and includes but is not limited to:

Managing the accounts receivables and payables process
Setting up bank payments
Assisting in the preparation of monthly accounts
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Assisting with requests from external advisors and the Board
Assisting with forecasting / budget analysis
Assisting with internal reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly analysis reports
Royalty reporting
Preparation of cashflow forecasts
Processing Purchase Orders
Managing company benefits process
Other ad hoc tasks as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum 4 years experience working within a Finance Team
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Experience working to tight month end deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Practical experience working Microsoft office
Ability to prioritise work and meeting deadlines
Strong communication skills.

Eligibility Requirements

Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
Must be willing to work onsite in Dundee.
